WHAT IS KG PRIDE FUND?
Annual Giving is the PTA’s biggest fundraiser of the year and one of the easiest ways to support Kent Gardens.
No selling. No catalogs. No cookie dough. Instead, families can make one direct donation to the PTA, and the money goes right back to supporting KG.
Donations help fund classroom support for teachers, student programs, field trips, family events, school improvements, and other extras throughout the year.
Our goal is to raise $48,000 for the 2026–27 school year, and have as many KG families participate as possible!
HOW ARE KG PRIDE FUNDS USED?
Annual Giving supports programs, resources, events, and improvements that benefit students and teachers throughout the year.
Donations help fund things like beginning-of-year classroom funds for teachers, field trips, author visits, family events, Teacher & Staff Appreciation, after-school programs, and improvements around our school.
Here are just a few ways PTA funds have supported KG in recent years:
2024–25: Replaced cafeteria and picnic tables, beautified the courtyard, provided meals throughout Teacher & Staff Appreciation Week, brought in a parent education speaker, and purchased technology supplies.
2023–24: Provided solar eclipse glasses for every student, replaced cafeteria and picnic tables, and purchased needed storage for teachers.
2022–23: Purchased ukuleles and risers for the music program, equipment for PE, class T-shirts for students, and technology for the new portable classrooms.
Over the years, PTA funds have also helped renovate the playground, build the running track, install water bottle filling stations, support outdoor learning spaces, purchase technology and classroom materials, and fund beloved KG events like STEAM Night, Literacy Night, and International Night.
Every Annual Giving donation goes right back to supporting our KG students, teachers, and school.
HOW MUCH SHOULD I CONTRIBUTE?
Our suggested donation is $175 per family, but it is only a suggestion.
Please give what works for your family. Whether you give $25, $50, $100, $175, or another amount, every donation makes a difference.
Does your employer match charitable donations? Many companies offer matching gift programs, which may double the impact of your donation. Check with your employer to see if your gift is eligible.

WHAT HAPPENS WHEN WE ACHIEVE OUR GOAL?
This year, we’re making Annual Giving a little more fun for our students with a grade-level participation challenge!
Grades will work together to reach participation milestones and earn fun celebrations along the way — including popsicles and a few surprises.
It’s another reason every donation counts: your family’s participation helps your child’s entire grade get closer to the next celebration!
DOES MY DONATION STAY AT KENT GARDENS?
Yes! Annual Giving donations go directly to the Kent Gardens PTA to support our students, teachers, and school.
Your donation helps fund the programs, events, classroom support, and school improvements that KG families see throughout the year.
Money raised through Annual Giving stays right here at KG.
IS MY DONATION TAX DEDUCTIBLE?
Yes! Kent Gardens Elementary PTA is a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, and eligible contributions are tax deductible to the extent allowed by law.
