3rd Grade Math Competition Club (3rd grade MC2) is a before school math program intended to get kids excited about learning math, and prepare them for success in the many popular math competitions in 4th-6th grade (MC2). This program is for students enrolled in the 3rd grade at Kent Gardens Elementary.
The instructional classes will be in-person at KGES, and taught by our long-time MC2 coach, Mr. Jeff Shivnen. We will start the classes this year in the morning, once a week, from 7:45-8:35 am. Half of the students will attend class on Wednesday, and the other half on Thursday. Classes will start September 17/18 and end April 8/9.

3rd grade MC2 will use Virginia Math League and MATH COUNTS Competition level resources. Students who are interested in extending their math appreciation are invited to sign up.
